Ryder is a sweet dog with an actor-like behavior.
Ryder is a mix of Labrador and Basset Hound. He really loves going for walks with his dad. He even wishes their relationship could last forever.
Recently, Ryder discovered a way to let his dad know how he exactly feels, with a certain hilarious protest.
Ryder’s dad, Sean Tornetta, told that the moment he knows he’s going home or walking a path he had already been to, he would sneakily start to slow down and look at them, saying like, “Boring! I’ve been here and sniffed all these scents before.” And then Ryder would drop there. It’s funny to see how he does it, being so dramatic as if he really knows what he’s doing.
When Ryder began to lie down on his walks, Tornetta would lean over, pick him up, and carry him all the way home like a baby. Tornetta hadn’t realized he’s playing right into Ryder’s hand.
Now, Ryder is getting even more dramatic. Whenever he goes outside, there should be a new performance. And the middle of the street is his stage.
However, despite how convincing Ryder’s show is, Tornetta isn’t going to be obeying it.
According to Tornetta, Ryder pretends to be exhausted, but he is one block or so from their house whenever he drops. Tornetta knew Ryder is in good condition and can surely make it to their house. They’d seen him sprung and played for hours at the dog park. So, they knew it was just his drama.
Good thing Tornetta knew one thing to distract Ryder from making it all the way home. The second Tornetta began to wiggle his pocket with treats, Ryder quickly sprung right back up like nothing ever happened. Tornetta said it’s quite funny how clever Ryder thought he was.

Even if it’s funny to watch Ryder collapse, his dad Tornetta is gradually trying to train him out of that behavior.
Now, Tornetta said they hold off treats and ensure Ryder makes it home before getting his treats. As adorable as it is, they still have to train him so he could make it home.
