As a dog ages, its energy and excitement are likely to wane. The death of a loved one may also influence a change in their behavior. A 15-year-old husky named Alfredo is a great example of this.
Alfredo used to be an extremely active dog. He was unrivaled when it came to racing around and creating chaos. The television network SBS TV previously produced a feature film about him, and they repeated the process four years later to see what had changed. However, they were unprepared for what they saw.
Alfredo gained weight and opted to stay at home in his dog bed. No longer did he rush around and steal food from his owner. It was hardly the most beautiful sight.
His owner must use food as a motivation to persuade him to stand or walk. The very thing that can actually motivate him to get up faster was to offer him a soft persimmon. It is funny that his obsession with the fruit is his primary motivation.
According to Alfredo’s owner, the dog lost his energy and motivation following the death of his father. He began to gain weight and lost motivation to exercise. He continues to go for walks with his owner, although he tires easily and often lays down on the way.
Sometimes, the owner must take the local bus to get home since Alfredo refuses to walk. The bus drivers are gracious enough to allow them to hitchhike. When they return home, Alfredo, as usual, returns to his bed.
The owner wanted Alfredo to regain his old energy. Obviously, he cannot become youthful again, but he can at least attempt to get healthier. To help Alfredo, the owner recruited a skilled husky trainer.
The trainer has won sled racing competitions in the past. He has also trained a vast number of sled dogs and the owner believes that this person would successfully help Alfredo.
