If you ask any dog lover out there, they would all agree that small doggos can be ferocious. It’s quite ironic how these small puppers have more fight in them compared to bigger dogs. This behavior could be a nuisance, but in some cases, a little doggos’ fearsome behavior could mean the difference between life or death.
In Chula Vista, California, we’ve probably found the bravest small doggo on earth. His name is Peanut, not exactly a name that will strike fear into his enemies’ hearts. But it’s this Longhaired Dachshund’s attitude that made him win the hearts of thousands of netizens around the globe.
Peanut’s dog dad, William Wiser, explained that he and his family had steak for dinner the night before, and peanut was chewing on the leftovers out in their front yard. Perhaps it was the steak, or it was Peanut himself, but a hungry coyote appeared out of nowhere.
William admitted in an interview that it was weird how nonchalant the coyote was while it was scouring the quiet suburban neighborhood. As well know coyotes eat cats and dogs, but that fact did not scare Peanut at all. The pup actually went to their fence and barked at the prowling beast several times.
Luckily, the doggo was able to repel the coyote away from their fence and probably their neighborhood, too. William said that Peanut really is a fighter. He tries to fight with any intruder to comes into the yard. Usually, it’s just cats, but this time around, the threat was serious.
Wiliam is a bit worried about the coyotes because he believes there is a pack that lives in a ravine some distance from their home. Peanut should consider himself lucky because the coyote did not jump over the fence, because it could’ve easily done that. Fur parents are advised to always keep their pets indoors if there are coyotes wandering around for safe measure.
