Lola is an adorable snuggly pitbull who spent half of her life at a shelter. Now that she’s officially adopted, she’s bound to live her best life.
Meet the Lovely Lola
When Lola arrived at Arizona’s Humane Society of Wickenburg, she had six cute puppies in tow. But her babies found respective forever homes right away, leaving Lola behind with other shelter dogs.
Lola has a cheerful, friendly personality, and the shelter staff quickly fell in love with her. She loves getting belly rubs and snuggles. But despite Lola’s remarkable character, the shelter staff couldn’t help but notice that she’s always overlooked by potential adopters.
Lola has been in the shelter for the past 400 days. She’s seen her fellow shelter dogs go home to their new families one by one. She’s probably wondered when her time is going to come as well.
Lola comes home
The Arizona Humane Society is very much aware of Lola’s situation, and there’ nothing more that they wish than to see their long-time resident find her forever home. So, the shelter staff decided to network with the Arizona Humane Society in Phoenix and asked to include Lola in their “Project Reachout” program.
The Project Reachout program aims to help abused and neglected animals. Although Lola is neither abused nor neglected, Project Reachout was willing to give her the boost she needs to meet her future family.
The team quickly spread the word around about Lola and ultimately caught the attention of the Perry family. The Perrys went to meet Lola in person the next day. The couple’s daughter fell in love with Lola, so they decided to adopt Lola right then and there.
Lola’s wish has finally come true. She’s spending her first Christmas with her new family, and everything is going great for her. Thanks to the shelter staff and the team behind Project Reachout, shelter animals like her get to have the opportunity of living happier lives.
