Animal lovers who live and work on a farm have great uses for pet dogs. Dogs can act as protectors and friends to all the farm animals. Of course, before these dogs can learn how to do this, they need to be trained as early as possible.
This story shows the experience of two puppies as they are introduced to life in a farm sanctuary.
Aspen and Oakley are two lively puppies who got adopted by a couple named Kristin and Jay. The couple runs a place called Ziggy’s refuge farm, where they take care of numerous farm animals. The couple adopted the puppies to train them as protectors for the other animals.
The first two animals that the puppies met were Willie the pug and Ziggy the pig. The puppies need to get along with Ziggy and Willie because those two spend the most time with the couple. Essentially, they are second in command. Fortunately, it didn’t take long before all four of them got along.
As expected for puppies, Aspen and Oakley were still clumsy and chaotic. The first time the puppies joined Jay in his morning routine was fun. Although it was frustrating too because of how troublesome the two puppies were. They are easily distracted and have no idea what’s going on most of the time.
Needless to say, the couple was very understanding and patient with their new pets. They admit that Aspen and Oakley tend to mess up many things, but they know it’s natural. They know that as the puppies grow older, they are more likely to be more useful around the farm.
The couple had always loved taking care of animals. Yet it was the first time they adopted two dogs with a specific goal in mind. They know it would be challenging, but they also believe that Aspen and Oakley are worth the effort.
